My Personal Conscious Nourishment Journey

A few years ago, I faced a challenge that nearly broke me. I was diagnosed with an autoimmune condition(s)... something doctors told me was “incurable.” They placed me in a box of uncertainty, shrugging their shoulders when asked how it happened or even could. Their answer? "We don’t know. It’s just one of those things. The body attacks itself in certain cases... THE END"
That uncertainty left me feeling powerless. But deep inside, I couldn’t accept that as the end. I knew there was something more. A message within me one day, told me this battle was mine to fight and conquer... It is up to YOU.
I began exploring beyond what conventional medicine offered. Through fasting, conscious eating, and spiritual alignment, I not only found relief but complete HEALING. By the way, It wasn’t just physical, I found clarity in my mind, peace in my emotions, and purpose of being in my spirit. This wasn’t just about curing my body (Which at first I assumed and thought it was); it was about transforming my entire being.
This journey wasn’t easy, but the victory was so profound it lifted a weight off my shoulders that I didn’t even realize I was carrying. It felt like uplifting freedom... freedom I want to share with others, who might be stuck in cycles of physical struggle, emotional turmoil, or spiritual disconnection.
This transformation came after a major traumatic situation and from a deep place of pain [An experience I’ll share more of another time, another day] but it also came with the realization that we have more power to heal and align than we are ever told, taught, or programmed to only look in one direction. From this and what i can now share, Know there is not just one exact or correct way. We have to listen to our body and what we feel, see, hear, smell, and taste. Such 5 senses that we can conquer and master for this exact thing.

Conscious Nourishment - A Path to Healing and Alignment
Step 1: Check In Before You Consume
What you consume has a direct impact on your entire being, our alignment... Physically, Mentally, Emotionally, and Spiritually. Whether it’s food, drink, or even the experiences you allow into your life, it’s important to pause and ask for conscious nourishment:
Is this supporting me or holding me back?
How to Check In Before You Consume:
Pause and Breathe: Before you eat or drink, close your eyes and take roughly 5 deep breaths to clear your mind.
Engage Your Intuition: Name the food, drink, or action in your mind (e.g., "coffee," "burger," "bad habit," or "conversation").
Ask the Question:
“Does this truly support my goal, my alignment and purpose?”
Feel the Response... Pay attention to your body:
Alignment: You might feel warmth, lightness, or a sense of calm/ peace
Misalignment: Unease, tension, or discomfort may arise.
Neutrality: If there’s no clear signal, it’s neither harmful nor particularly beneficial ... IT'S it’s your choice.
Example: You’re at a place that might not be the healthiest... like fast-food restaurant after a stressful day. We have all been there, I can definitely say I HAVE!
Pause, breathe, and ask yourself:
“Will this meal benefit me and fuel my strength or keep me in a cycle of fatigue?”
The answer is already within you... You only need a few moments in silence and just need to listen.
Step 2: Affirmation Prayer for Aligning the Purpose
There’s power in blessing what you consume. Whether you call it a prayer, an intention, or a moment of gratitude, this practice is about elevating the energy of your food so it serves your highest self.
My Personal Affirmation Prayer for Aligning the Purpose:
"Most High I AM, I bless this meal to nourish my body, focus my mind, and align me with my purpose. May it fuel my vessel, give me strength, honor my discipline, and stay in resilience."
Use whatever words resonate with you. This isn’t about religion or religious it’s about spiritual connection and relationship. The goal is to infuse your meal with gratitude and purpose, aligning it with your intentions for the day.
Step 3: Intermittent Fasting for Healing and Focus
Fasting saved me... not just physically, but emotionally and spiritually. For many, food often becomes an emotional escape: something to fill the void when life feels overwhelming. Fasting taught me discipline, clarity, and the importance of intentional consumption.
What Fasting Taught Me:
Hunger isn’t an emergency - It’s an opportunity to listen to your body.
Fasting sharpens your mind and helps you distinguish between emotional cravings and true physical needs.
It resets unhealthy habits and cravings, giving your body the space to heal.
It help some weight issues I was battling with as well.
How to Begin Fasting:
Try Morning or Evening Fasting: Skip breakfast or dinner 1–2 times a week if your health allows. Use that time for reflection, meditation, or movement.
Break Your Fast Intentionally: When it’s time to eat, choose something nourishing, clean, and aligned with your goals.
(Breakfast = Break-Fast)
My Experience: Fasting didn’t just heal my autoimmune condition; it showed me how much strength I carry within. It gave me clarity I didn’t know I needed and taught me that discipline in one area of life spills into every other area.
Step 4: Daily Practices for Conscious Consumption
These small, intentional practices can help you reconnect with your body and spirit every day:
Morning Check-In: Start your day with 5 minutes of breathing and reflection.
Ask:
“What choices today will align me with my highest self?”
Bless and Affirm: Before every meal, take a moment to bless it with an intention that resonates with your purpose.
Track Your Energy: At the end of the day, reflect:
Did my choices today fuel my growth or hold me back?
The Transformation Awaits You
This journey isn’t about being perfect... it’s about being intentional. I’ve walked this path and seen the transformation it brings, and I know it’s possible for you too. Whether you’re facing a health challenge, struggling with discipline, or just feeling stuck, these practices are tools to help you rise above.
Your body, mind, and spirit are ready to work together to create the life you deserve. Start small. Pause before you consume. Bless what you take in. And listen to your intuition.
